At North Augusta High School, Buddy Club is a huge part of many students' lives and has helped many students through the experiences they have. The goal of Buddy Club is to help promote social and educational interactions among all students.
Jessica Lawson, a junior at North Augusta, says, “We do activities both at the school, as well as other field trips to provide fun, educational, and athletic experiences for everyone.”
For Halloween, the students in Buddy Club and the students helping with Buddy Club got to dress up and walk around the school to different teachers' classrooms to show off their costumes and collect treats from the teachers.
While talking about the Halloween festivities that they got to take part in, Mackenzie Ainsworth, another junior at North Augusta, says, “We all got to dress up go trick or treating around the school. It was really fun and the students loved it.”
Although Buddy Club is with North Augusta High School, members get the opportunity to connect with other schools’ Buddy Clubs. The next upcoming event for Buddy Club is a field trip to Midland Valley that will include a flag football tournament that all mobile students in the club will be able to participate and play in.
