On April 21st, rising freshmen from North Augusta and Paul Knox Middle Schools were invited to explore all the clubs NAHS has to offer at the annual, Freshman Expo.
A few clubs that were there to check out included Mock Trial, The Buzz, Academic Team, Beta Club, and Student to Student.
Freshman Expo is a great opportunity for upcoming students to get acquainted with their potential colleagues and learn more about clubs they may be interested in. At the event, clubs set out tables and pass out pamphlets with all the information about the club to try and recruit new members.
As a member of Mock Trial and Student to Student, senior Carter Johnson says, “the Freshmen Expo is very beneficial to upcoming students because it allows them a chance to learn more about clubs and activities that are offered at NAHS.”
Johnson says “the Freshman Expo experience allows the rising freshman to get a sneak peak of the high school life and be able to reach out and create new opportunities for the years to come.”
The rising freshman are going to be a large addition to the NAHS family. So it is important that the students met new people and advisors during the expo, so that they can come into freshman year with a sense of guidance and an idea of opportunities around the school.
