Senior Trips

Along with many other traditions for the senior class, such as senior prom and college decision day, many students decide to take a vacation after graduation to celebrate the end of an era and the start of a new one. These trips must be somewhat limited this year due to COVID-19, but some of NAHS’s seniors are still planning to take their trip.

Grant Brown, a Senior at NAHS, has an extensive trip planned for this summer: he is going on a Pro Disc Golf tour. “I’m driving to Rock Hill and playing where the national championships are held at Winthrop University. Then, playing in Charlotte, where the Pro Tour Finale is held each year. We are then flying to Vermont and playing two Pro Tour courses, then we’re driving to Massachusetts around Boston. Then, we’re flying to Detroit to play another Pro Tour course. While we are there in Michigan, we are going to visit my favorite band’s, Greta Van Fleet, hometown. Lastly, we're going to visit the Motown museum in Detroit.”

Some of the other seniors have some trips planned as well. Lindsey Baker is planning to go to a beach in Florida. The activities she plans to do are “spending the day at the beach, swimming, surfing, going to a nice restaurant, exploring the city and shopping.” She is also excited to be going along with some friends. Isaac Caldwell is also planning to go to Florida. He will be going to St. Augustine, where he plans to “go to the beach, visit Castillo de San Marcos, Lightner Museum, and maybe deep-sea fishing.” He chose St. Augustine because “he has always loved going there since he was a kid, and he loves the history and how beautiful the area is.”

No matter what NAHS Seniors decide to do for their senior trips, it is sure that they will be memorable. It will be a chance for students to celebrate their friendships and time in North Augusta before moving on to post-graduate activities in the fall.
