Small Businesses During the Holiday Season

North Augusta has no shortage of small businesses, and with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, the season of giving is here. How do local small businesses give back to the community?

Southpaw Roofing is a local business in North Augusta that deals with residential and commercial roofing. The company gives back to the community in many ways.

David Noyce, a co-owner of Southpaw Roofing, says, “We sponsor youth sports at the rec and high school level. We volunteer as coaches at the rec. We donate to needy families at Christmas. We donate to many different charities.”

Local businesses have many opportunities and reasons to help the community. Noyce says, “We are passionate about athletics, our rec department in North Augusta is top-notch and relies on the support of local businesses.”

“We also donate to needy families because we have been very fortunate and are dedicated to lending a hand when we can,” says Noyce.

In terms of sponsoring rec youth, Noyce states that it has a personal meaning to him as well.

“It is truly my most treasured local activity as I get to watch these young children grow into young adults and beyond.”
