As with many things this year, basketball games are a bit different. One of the specifics of this is that at basketball games, the seating is limited. Many people purchase the stinger passes at the beginning of the year in order to avoid having to purchase tickets for each game and in support of the high school's booster club. In a normal year anyone with a stinger pass or season passes would have access to the games and not have to worry about whether their tickets would be honored or not. However, with limited seating at the basketball games, North Augusta High School has had to change the way of letting people into the games. For each basketball games a certain number of tickets are sold, and only a certain number of stinger and season passes are eligible for entry. Due to the pandemic, the number of spectators that are allowed at the games has lowered.

With a lower number of people watching and attending the games, the environment at the games has significantly changed. Junior at North Augusta High School, Jack Greenway, says, “playing games with less people watching is different.” Greenway says he wishes more people were allowed at the games for it to seem more like a normal year and make the environment at the games more positive and uplifting for the players. With less people there, the focus becomes more on the game and less on the crowd. Greenway says, “with less people there the focus has been a lot more on the games since there are less distractions from the crowd,” Although things are definitely different this year, the game itself has not changed. The basketball teams have still had promising seasons. Things change, but for the players the game stays consistent, and just being allowed to have a season is a blessing.
