The North Augusta Yellow Jackets have had an outstanding 2020 football season. The Jackets secured a huge win over May River in the first round of playoffs at home, but unfortunately lost to North Myrtle Beach in the second round of playoffs.
The Jackets made it to the playoffs and had a huge win over May River High School on Friday, November 13. They beat May River with a score of 20 to 13 in overtime. The students, staff, parents, cheerleaders, and coaches of North Augusta were excited to see their football team win in the first round of playoffs. On Friday, November 20, the Jackets traveled to North Myrtle Beach for the second round of playoffs. They played a very good game, but did not end up winning.
Varsity football player Jack Greenway was interviewed after the game against May River. When asked “How did the game go last week against May River?” Greenway stated, “The game went well, and it was a good team win.” Greenway was also asked what the most exciting thing about playoffs this year was. He stated, “The most exciting thing about playoffs this year has been seeing better competition.”
The Jackets have had a great football season, and the community of North Augusta is proud of the hard work they have put in this season.
